COVID-19 – FAQs

Are guests required to wear masks?

Fortunately, per the latest CDC guidelines, the National Park Service and Great Smoky Mountains National Park are not currently requiring masks inside federal facilities, including LeConte Lodge. Masks are now optional for those visiting the Smokies.

Are there occupancy limits on indoor spaces?

Occupancy limits in some indoor public spaces at the Lodge are in place. Please adhere to the posted signage during your visit.

How often is the Lodge fully cleaned and sanitized?

Lodge staff continues to thoroughly clean and sanitize all private guest cabins daily in-between guest stays, as well as commonly touched surfaces shared in public spaces. Hand sanitizer dispensers are readily available to visitors and in all public buildings, restrooms, and private guest cabins. Remember, any interaction with the general public poses an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19. By visiting Great Smoky Mountains National Park, visitors assume all risks related to exposure or the contraction of any communicable and/or infectious disease, including, but not limited to COVID-19.
