The Lodge is Now Open for the Season.
The 2024 operating season will be Monday, March 25 through Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
Day hikers are those who hike to the lodge but do not have overnight reservations. The following services also apply to visitors staying at the nearby NPS backcountry shelter, which is not associated with the lodge.
Day hikers may purchase a sack lunch containing a bagel, cream cheese packet, beef and pork stick, fruit leather, trail mix, cookies and Gatorade drink packet. The sack lunch is $14.00. Pre-ordering is not required. These are available from 9:00 – 10:00 am and 12:00 – 4:30 pm daily in season.
The lodge will also offer our day hikers assorted baked goods for $2.00 each from 9:00 -10:00 am and 12:00 – 4:30 pm daily in season.
Pit toilets are available 24/7, equipped with hand sanitizer. All day hikers are responsible for packing out their own trash.
Day hikers may purchase any of the items sold in the Lodge Gift Shop now located in the Dining Hall. Please refer to the list of souvenir items available. Payment is accepted by check, cash or credit card with ID. AMEX and gift cards are not accepted.
