The Lodge is Now OPEN for the Season.

The 2026 operating season will be Monday, March 23 through Tuesday, November 24, 2026.

2027 SEASON BOOKING INFORMATION

Season Dates

• The 2027 season will last from Friday, March 19 through Sunday, November 21, 2027.

Processing Timeline

• Phone calls will be accepted for 2027 bookings Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 8:00 am EDT. No phone calls for 2027 prior to October 1.
• Written requests received during the submission period will be processed simultaneously with phone calls.
  

2027 Written Submission Period Has Closed

The submission period for written requests via fax, email, US mail and electronic form for the 2027 season closed at 4:00 pm  EDT, Thursday, September 24.  If you missed the submission period, the next option would be to call.

We will accept phone calls beginning at 8:00 am EDT, Thursday, October 1, 2026, for the 2027 season (March 19 to November 21).  Reservation phone is 865-429-5704.

Any submissions sent outside the submission period will be reviewed after we have processed all of those received during the designated time.  It could take a few weeks as these will be reviewed as time allows between phone calls.

In the submission, include:

• Name
• Address
• Daytime phone
• Adults (13 and older)
• Children (4-12 years)
• Number of nights you would like to stay
• Type of accommodation if any
• List of dates

2026 SEASON STATUS

The 2026 season is booked, but cancellations do occur.

Advance-Notice Cancellations

• Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance are first offered to guests on the advance notice wait list.
• The advance notice cancellation wait lists are now full and closed for the entire season.

 Short-Notice Cancellations

Cancellations within 30 days of the arrival date are NOT filled with a wait list.

How to Check Availability

To check availability for cancellations within 30 days of the arrival date, please call the reservation office:

• Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET.
• Closures: The office is closed for most major holidays and may close for lunch between noon and 1:00 p.m.

If you send an email, please include your preferred dates and the number of hikers in your party. Please allow a couple of days for a reply. Occasionally, cancellations for larger units, such as two- or three-bedroom lodges, may become available more than 30 days in advance.

Payment Policy

Payments for reservations between the 1st and the 15th of the month will be due by the 1st of the following month; made between the 16th and the end of the month will be due by the 15th of the following month. Payments for reservations made less than 30 days before arrival date are due when the reservation is made. Payment is accepted by check, money order or credit card. We do not accept American Express. A 2% processing fee will be added to all credit card payments starting with the 2026 season.

Cancellation/Change Policy

Refund provided for cancellations up to 30 days prior to arrival, less a 10% cancellation fee. No refunds for cancellations with less than a 30 day notice. This includes meals and lodging for group lodges and individual cabins unless we are able to rebook your reservation space (s); in that event the amount received from another party for your reservation will be refunded, less a 10% cancellation fee. Any partial cancellation up to 30 days prior to arrival will result in a refund, less a 10% cancellation fee. Any change in reservation dates will result in a $30.00 processing fee. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to our cancellation policy. We are not responsible for medical or family emergencies, weather or weather related trail conditions. Weather conditions or trail closures do not change the terms of our cancellation policy. There will be no refunds based on unavailable vehicle parking at trailheads in the National Park. It is the responsibility of all visitors to research Great Smoky Mountains National Park’s new vehicle parking fee policies effective March 1, 2023, and all parking or third-party shuttle service options in advance of their stay. We encourage you to research travel insurance services to best meet your needs if you must cancel or interrupt your trip due to unforeseen circumstances. It is not permissible by any individual, company, church or organization to increase for profit the approved and published rates under any circumstances. Failure to comply with this notice will result in forfeiture of current reservation and future booking privileges.
