Bookings for 2017
We will begin booking 2017 reservations (March 20 through November 21) on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 8:00 am EDT by phone and written request through a lottery type system. Written requests (fax, email, US mail or lottery form) for the 2017 season will be accepted from Monday, August 1, 2016 through October 3, 2016. A lottery request form will be posted here on August 1.
The written requests are printed, and held until October 3 when they will be shuffled, pulled at random and processed simultaneously with phone calls so no preference is given based on the date the request is received; luck of the draw, luck of the dial. You may call and/or send in a written request.
After October 3, 2016, the 2017 reservation forms will be answered in the order in which they are received, but not until all of the 2017 lottery requests have been processed.
The wait list for 2017 reservation cancellations will be started on December 5, 2016.
Do not use the 2016 reservation wait list form for 2017 requests, as they will not be honored.
Bookings for 2016
The operating season for the 2016 season will be Monday, March 21 through Tuesday, November 22.
The lottery for 2016 reservations has been completed. If you did not receive an email invoice then the dates you requested at the time we processed your request were not available. You are welcome to check back for possible cancellations or alternate dates. Over the next few months availability will be changing on a regular basis, so you may need to be persistent.
You may use the form below to submit requests for availablity and to be placed on a wait list for dates. Due to the volume of emails and phone calls, it may take 5-7 business days for you to get a reply. If you need a more immediate reply, please call the reservation office at 865-429-5704, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm ET, Monday through Friday. The office is closed on most major holidays and may be closed for lunch between 12:00 and 1:00 pm.
To cancel a reservation, especially a short notice cancellation, it is recommended to call the office rather than send an email.
2016 Wait List Request Information
There are still some two and three bedroom lodges available (primarily on weeknights) during the 2016 season. It is best to call to check availability for these if possible. Dates are constantly changing. It may take a few days to get a reply to email inquiries.
All cabins are booked for the 2016 season with the exception of a few nights for a two or three bedroom lodge. If you would like to be added to the wait list for cancellation notifications do NOT include the following dates:
The wait lists are closed (full) for the following dates: September – ALL; October 1-30; November 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19.
Wait list Guidelines for 2016 season:
1. Only one submission per party.
2. Three individual dates or ONE range of up to seven consecutive nights may be submitted.
3. NOTE: 3 or more night stays are rarely available through cancellations. If you would accept a single night stay, please note that on the request.
4. The wait list is used to fill cancellations that occur with 30 days or more notice.
5. Cancellations with less than 30 days’ notice are not rebooked from the wait list but offered to the first inquiry that fits the cancellation. Some cancellations may be posted on Twitter.
6. Reservations booked with 30 days or less notice must be paid for at the time of booking.
7. Phone wait list requests are not accepted.
8. Notification of availability procedure will be included in your email reply.

Payments for reservations made by mail between the 1st and the 15th of the month will be due by the 1st of the following month; made between the 16th and the end of the month will be due by the 15th of the following month. Payments for reservations made less than 30 days before arrival date are due when the reservation is made. Payment is accepted by check, money order or credit card. We do not accept American Express.
Refund provided for cancellations up to 30 days prior to arrival, less a $15.00 processing fee. No refunds for cancellations with less than a 30 day notice. This includes meals and lodging for group lodges and individual cabins unless we are able to rebook your reservation space (s); in that event the amount received from another party for your reservation will be refunded, less a $15.00 processing fee. Any partial cancellation up to 30 days prior to arrival will result in a refund, less a $15.00 processing fee. Any change in reservation dates will result in a $15.00 processing fee.
It is not permissible by any individual, company, church or organization to increase for profit the approved and published rates under any circumstances. Failure to comply with this notice will result in forfeiture of current reservation and future booking privileges.
